Ms. Silver co-founded Redwood Investments in 2004 and is responsible for day-to-day management of the firm. She serves as Co-CIO and Portfolio Manager/Analyst on the global investment team. She has primary research coverage responsibilities for consumer and health care sectors. Previously, Ms. Silver was a Managing Director and Head of Growth Equity for Neuberger Berman where she launched the firm’s growth investing capabilities. Prior to Neuberger Berman, she spent 16 years at Putnam Investments culminating with a senior leadership role as a Managing Director. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst®. She received her MBA from Stanford University and her Bachelor of Arts from Wellesley College.
Mr. Mufson co-founded Redwood Investments in 2004 and is responsible for day-to-day management of the firm. He serves as Co-CIO and Portfolio Manager/Analyst on the global investment team. He has primary research coverage responsibilities for industrials, technology, telecommunication services and utilities sectors. Before Redwood, Mr. Mufson was a Managing Director at Putnam Investments and a member of the Executive Committee. At Putnam, he managed Small and Large Cap strategies. He began his career at Stein Roe & Farnham where he was a Research Analyst and Portfolio Manager for the Liberty Utility Fund. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst®. He received his MBA from Emory University and his Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University.
Mr. Makkas joined Redwood Investments as a Portfolio Manager/Analyst on the global investment team. His primary research coverage includes health care and industrials sectors. Mr. Makkas was previously the Lead Portfolio Manager for the Beacon Growth Equity Team at Wells Fargo Asset Management and had previously held roles as Senior Analyst with Alydar Capital and Co-Lead Portfolio Manager/Analyst for the Small/Mid Cap Team at State Street Global Advisors. He received his MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and his Bachelor of Arts from Bucknell University.
Mr. Samet is a Portfolio Manager/Analyst on the global investment team. He started his career with Redwood as an operations and trading associate working closely with the portfolio managers. He eventually became a research analyst and then named Portfolio Manager. His primary research coverage includes consumer, media, internet, services and alternative energy stocks. Previously, Mr. Samet worked as an associate at Rochester Management Corp., a commercial real estate firm, conducting market research and feasibility studies for commercial properties. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst®. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University.
Mr. Smith is a Portfolio Manager/Analyst on the global investment team. Prior to joining Redwood, he was the CIO of Global Emerging Markets at BNP Paribas Asset Management where he led two Global Emerging Market portfolios. Before BNP, Mr. Smith was the lead portfolio manager on the Turner Investments’ Emerging Markets Equity Portfolio and a Portfolio Manager on the Global and International Growth Portfolio and the Resource and Infrastructure Long/Short Fund. Also an accomplished rower, Mr. Smith was a member of the US National Rowing team where he competed for the United States in the 1996 and 2000 Olympics. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst®. He received his M.B.A. from MIT Sloan School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts from Syracuse University.
Mr. Sutton is a Portfolio Manager/Analyst on the global investment team. His primary research coverage includes health care, industrials, and materials sectors. Prior to Redwood, Mr. Sutton was a Managing Director at Putnam Investments where he served as Portfolio Manager of the Putnam Small Cap Growth Fund. He began his investment career at Fidelity Investments and following graduate school, he managed growth portfolios for private clients. Mr. Sutton is a combat-decorated former US Marine, specializing in intelligence with tours served in the Middle East and Central America. Mr. Sutton received his MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and his Bachelor of Arts from Monmouth College.
Ms. Cha joined Redwood as an associate in the operations department where she supported the investment and trading teams with client reporting. In 2018, she became a member of the global investment team. She was promoted to Research Analyst in 2022. In her role, Ms. Cha is responsible for research of Non-US equities. She is fluent in Korean. She graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in business administration and a concentration in accounting.
Mr. Goodman joined Redwood in 2008 and has served in roles within the Operations and Trading areas prior to becoming a Senior Quantitative Analyst for the global investment team. He was promoted to Head of Risk Management & Quantitative Analysis in 2022. With more than 10 years of experience in data analytics and portfolio risk management, he works side by side with the investment team to manage, oversee and analyze all of the quantitative elements of the investment team and supports all strategies with rigorous risk management and reporting. Mr. Goodman is fluent in Hebrew. Before joining Redwood, he served in the elite Intelligence Unit (8200) of the Israeli Defense Forces where he was tasked with data analysis for defense and security initiatives. He received a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Sciences at Tel Aviv University.
Mr. Dwyer joined Redwood Investments as an Analyst in operations and trading before being promoted to Head Trader. In this role, he is responsible for the firm’s global trading infrastructure and processes. In addition to his day-to-day trading responsibilities, he manages the desk and oversees relationships with our sell-side partners. Prior to Redwood, he held a variety of sales and management positions in a specialty retail company. As the company’s top salesperson and a leader and mentor in store operations, Mr. Dwyer cultivated a significant client base and guided the company through a high growth period. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Central Connecticut State University.
Mr. Pound is a trader on the firm's global trading desk. He works closely with the Head Trader on strengthening relationships with the sell-side, conducting technical analysis and sourcing investment ideas for the investment team as well as identifying opportunities to further innovate the trading infrastructure. Prior to Redwood, he worked at Leerink Partners LLC in trading and operations. He started his career with State Street where he was in the Trading Operations department. He received his Bachelor of Science at Bridgewater State University.
Elijah Osagie is the 2023 Wall Street Diversity Accelerator Intern. He recently completed his freshman year at Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island. He is a Berkeley Scholar, a program at Providence College that aims to provide career development resources to high achieving diverse students. Elijah grew upin Randolph, MA with his parent and sisters. His parents emigrated from Nigeria to the U.S. He attended Buckingham, Browne and Nichols School (BB&N) in Cambridge, MA.
Mr. Kearney is the Head of Distribution at Redwood Investments and serves on the Management Committee. Prior to joining Redwood, he was Managing Director of Sales, Marketing and Client Service for Kennedy Capital Management. Previously, he served as the Head of Institutional Sales at Macquarie Group and Turner Investments. Mr. Kearney began his career at Capital Analysts. He is a member and past President of the Association of Investment Management Sales Executives (AIMSE). He graduated from the Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond with a Bachelor of Science.
Ms. Motch joined Redwood Investments as Director of Client Service & Marketing. Prior to Redwood, Lidney spent 14 years with Copper Rock Capital Partners LLC as the Director of Client Service & Marketing. Previously, she held Relationship Manager roles at PNC Advisors and at Wellington Management LLC where she primarily worked with public fund clients as well as Latin American and Canadian institutional plans. She formerly worked with Barents Group, LLC, a former subsidiary of BearingPoint Inc., where she was a consultant in the financial services practice in Washington D.C. and Mexico City, Mexico. Ms. Motch is fluent in Spanish. She received her MBA, cum laude, from the F.W. Olin School of Business at Babson College, and her Bachelor of Arts with Honors from Wellesley College.
Mr. Flammey is responsible for the firm’s day-to-day financial management, compliance with all regulatory filings, and oversight of the Redwood compliance program. Prior to Redwood, he worked at Fidelity Investments where he was Director of Finance for Fidelity Ventures (Fidelity’s ventures capital group) and before that, the Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund. In both roles, he had responsibility for finance, accounting, tax, and related compliance issues. Prior to Fidelity, he worked in corporate finance and commercial banking. Mr. Flammey received his MBA from the F.W. Olin School of Business at Babson College and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Virginia.
Ms. Agostino joined Redwood as an Associate where she supports Operations, Compliance and Marketing. While completing her studies, she interned at Redwood for two years working across many areas of the firm, including systems, finance, and operations. Ms. Agostino studied ballet pre-professionally and has completed programs with the American Ballet Theatre in New York and the Orlando Ballet in Florida. She now trains and competes as a ballroom dancer, holding a few Pro-Am national titles. When not in competition, she enjoys teaching ballet. She received her Bachelor of Science from Bentley University.
